SPC Watching For Severe Storms Across SNE

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK is monitoring Southern New England for possible severe thunderstorm formation this afternoon and early evening.  At 1230 PM this afternoon they upgraded Central/Eastern SNE from a marginal severe weather risk to a slight risk.

The visible satellite is showing some tall thunderstorm towers popping up in Eastern New York.  The environment in Southern New England is even more favorable.

The SPC has issued a discussion that cautions severe storm development between now and 7 PM.
